CapturIQ vs Clearbit
Clearbit maps IP addresses to company names — no consent, no contact, no warm lead. CapturIQ captures the visitor's information directly, with their permission, at the moment their intent is highest.
IP-to-company identification
Tells you "Acme Corp visited your pricing page" — but no individual name, no email, no permission to reach out. You still have to cold-reach a company, not a warm lead.
Consent-based lead capture
Detects behavioral intent, shows a capture prompt at the decision moment, and gets the visitor to provide their name and email directly. A real person who asked to hear from you.
What Clearbit gives you vs what you actually need
Knowing a company visited isn't a lead
IP-to-company matching tells you a company's IP address hit your server. It doesn't give you a contact, permission to reach out, or any signal about which individual was evaluating you.
- • Company name and size
- • Industry and location
- • Which pages were visited
- • No contact name
- • No email address
- • No permission to reach out
- • Find contacts at that company manually
- • Send unsolicited cold outreach
- • Guess who was actually evaluating
- • Hope the timing is still right
- ✓ Name and email of the actual visitor
- ✓ Which page triggered the capture
- ✓ Intent score and behavioral signals
- ✓ Explicit opt-in — they asked to hear from you
- ✓ Real-time Slack or email alert

Common questions
CapturIQ vs Clearbit FAQ
What happened to Clearbit?
Clearbit was acquired by HubSpot in 2023. Its visitor identification and enrichment capabilities now live inside HubSpot as "Breeze Intelligence." Standalone Clearbit access is no longer available for new customers — you need an active HubSpot subscription to use it.
Is IP identification like Clearbit privacy-compliant?
IP-based identification operates in a legally gray area under GDPR, CCPA, and similar frameworks because it profiles individuals without explicit consent. CapturIQ is consent-based by design — visitors provide their information voluntarily after seeing a capture prompt. No consent questions, no IP reverse lookups.
Can CapturIQ replace Clearbit?
They solve different problems. Clearbit de-anonymizes traffic to help you identify accounts for outbound targeting. CapturIQ captures inbound leads from visitors who are already showing high intent. If your sales motion is outbound account-based, Clearbit (via HubSpot) has a role. If you want warm inbound leads, CapturIQ is the stronger fit.
Does CapturIQ work with HubSpot?
Yes. CapturIQ integrates with HubSpot and sends captured leads directly to HubSpot as new contact records. Unlike Breeze Intelligence, which enriches records that already exist, CapturIQ creates leads from visitors who would have otherwise left your site anonymously.
Get warm leads, not cold company signals
A contact who gave you their email while evaluating your product is worth more than a company name from an IP match.
